KWA Magpul FPG airsoft crack in a box

So back in 2008 at SHOT show, Magpul Industries showed a prototype called the FMG-9. FMG stands for "Folding Machine Gun"

It was quite the fan favorite. Here is the video from Milspec Monkey.

Its designs are based on Eugene Stoner's ARES FMG.

I have been craving for one ever since. Well last year Airsoft companies licensed the design from Magpul and started producing conversion kits. You would need an Airsoft Gas Blow Back Glock 17 or the fully automatic version G18C. You need to harvest the slide and the inner components and transplant them into the now called FPG or Folding POCKET Gun.

Well step in KWA airsoft gun manufacturer. They stepped up the plate and produced a turnkey, ready out of the box, Magpul FPG and it only costs $300. No need to buy a $150-$200 gun and a conversion kit.

Well I have been out of airsoft for a while now. I've been playing since 1998. But I finally got my hands on this beauty. I just love the engineering and design. The quality control is phenomenal. I suspect this may be due to Magpul's high standards for tolerance and QC. It certainly shows in this product. Granted it is manufactured by KWA but im sure Magpul wants their designs produced as high a standard as they hold themselves.

I picked this up, while I was visiting my parents, from Evike's retail store in San Gabriel, CA. It was the last one in the store, the floor model. Nothing wrong with it other than the knowledge that it was on display. The orange paint which is required, had a little scratch on it. They gave me 10% off for the scratch in the paint and that it was a floor model.

As I said earlier, I played airsoft since 1998. I have always hated orange tips or paint. I am a strong believer in treating these "toys" with the same regard as firearms. Be responsible. I removed my orange because I know that I am responsible with my property. I dont go outside with real firearms except in locations that allow it, like a range. Same with airsoft. There is no need for the orange to be there if I treat it like the real thing.

So as a warning DO NOT remove your orange paint unless you are responsible. Do not blame me.

Well with that out of the way, here are the pictures I took of this gorgeous piece of design and engineering.
